BlueWave XC Season Opener at Ocala Horse Park Invitational

The Men's and Women's Cross-country teams opened the 2020 season at the Ocala Horse Park invitational this past Friday evening. Following multiple lightning delays FSCJ sophomore John Bear's 2nd place overall finish lead the men's team to a 3rd place finish just edging out 2019 Region 8 champions Seminole State College. Our first female, Fleming Island Freshman Shealyn Barbuto, lead the women's team to a 4th place finish. Ten state college teams competed in the College division. "It was a solid opening effort and I'm especially excited about how well our freshman women raced"said Head Coach Jody Hale.

The BlueWave's next meet will be the Alligator Lake Invitational on September 18th in Lake City Florida.
