Cross Country Season Opener
Florida State College at Jacksonville BlueWave Cross Country team opened their season Friday night. FSCJ was competing at the Cecil Field Summer Classic on the New World Disc Golf Course at Cecil Field in Jacksonville Florida.
The BlueWave men were led by freshmen John Bear and Sophomore Captain Aldren Biala. The Men's top 5 had a strong showing placing 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th. For the women's team, sophomore captian Emily Perry and freshman Ally Newkirk lead the way. The women's top 5 finished 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th.
Coach Jody Hale was very impressed with his program, "It was a very strong showing for a first meet. A special shout out to freshman Alec Nixon's 5th place finish in his 1st ever cross-country meet. Hannah Shearer's 9th place finished was her 1st meet in two years."
